The PolyU Research Data Repository

This guide introduces key features of the PolyU Research Data Repository.

PolyU Research Data Repository

The PolyU Research Data Repository aims to facilitate the open sharing and preservation of research data generated by the PolyU community. It accepts a wide range of data types and formats, including but not limited to quantitative data, qualitative data, experimental data, observational data, and simulation data. It supports PolyU researchers to make data open to the scholarly community and the public at large which is the essence behind the OA requirements by RGC and funders.

The PolyU Research Data Repository exclusively stores research data. Other research outputs, such as articles and book chapters, should be submitted to The PolyU Institutional Research Archive (PIRA).

Who is eligible to deposit?

  • Academic, Research & Administrative staff of equivalent status (ARA)
  • RPG students who are granted with a Contributor/Curator Role in the Repository from their supervisor

Why deposit data in the PolyU Research Data Repository?

Like other data repositories, our Repository accepts most data file formats. Furthermore, you, as a PolyU researcher, can create a personal folder on PRDR. The folder can be shared to feature your research works. Since your folder is hosted inside your departmental folder, your department can highlight the research data outputs of all faculty members and students in one go.

For benefits of sharing data, please refer to the Research Data Management Guide.
