Deaccession your Data
For data that you have never published, you can fully delete the dataset.
However, if you have already published your dataset, you can only deaccession it. After deaccession, your dataset will no longer be publicly available. The metadata of the dataset will still be available to you after you have logged into your own account.
After the deletion or deaccession, the dataset could not be published again.
To delete or deaccession dataset, follow the steps below:
- Log in and go to the page of your dataset. To locate your dataset page, follow the steps here.
- (a) If your dataset is still unpublished, select Delete Dataset > Continue and the dataset record will be fully removed from the repository.
(b) If you have already published your dataset, after selecting Deaccession Dataset, you will be required to input the information about the deaccession decision and click Deaccession to confirm. If there are multiple versions of your datasets, you will also be asked to choose which version to deaccession.
After deaccession, you will still find the deaccessioned dataset in the folder as below when you have logged in. However, it will no longer appear in the result list shown to the public.
