Tips for Citing CC Images in APA Style

For the image that requires attribution, both a figure note & a reference list entry for the image in the reference list are required to be included in your presentation.

An APA Style copyright attribution for CC images should contain the following information.

  1. Title
  2. Author
  3. Year of publication
  4. Source of the material

Here is an example:

Note. From Title [description], by Author, Date, Site name (URL). The name of the Creative Commons License.

*Remarks:
In a presentation, the figure number and title are optional but the figure note containing the copyright attribution is required.
