Here are some resources and services provided by the Library to support your teaching needs. Contact your Faculty Librarian for more information.

Teaching Materials

PolyU Open Educational Resources Portal
Open Educational Resources (OERs) are free learning and teaching materials available for use by anyone. PolyU OER Portal features quality OER around the world, and from MERLOT.ORG, classified into eight disciplines to mirror the eight faculties and schools of PolyU. You are also welcome to share your OERs on this portal with the PolyU Community.
Recommend course readings
Inform us the required readings for your classes and your students will be able to locate them easily using OneSearch. The Course Readings can also be added to your course page on LEARN@PolyU for students’ quick reference. Follow instructions here and learn how to do this!
Suggest a purchase

Submit your recommendations for books, journals, and audio-visual materials if you wish to have them included in our Library Collections. Please check our holdings using OneSearch before submitting your requests.

DataCamp as a supplementary teaching material

DataCamp is an interactive learning platform that allows students to build data skills at their own pace. You can find topics like data cleaning, data visualization, machine learning, data engineering, statistics, and more. Most courses are beginner-friendly!

If you conduct any data science related courses with Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or other similar tools, you are welcome to contact us so that we can help pre-register your students in DataCamp.  You will then be able to monitor the learning progress of your students and set assignments for your students in DataCamp.
