Reference Management Tools

Reference management tools allow you to share references with groupmates, and easily change to any citation styles as required.

Here are some commonly used reference management tools:

EndNote
a tool to help you manage references and citations for your thesis and journal publications;
it is powerful in customization, e.g. to customize a citation style for a journal

•  Enroll EndNote Online Course on Learn@PolyU and learn basics about EndNote, e.g. how to download citations from various sources and insert in Word doc.

Mendeley
a free cross-platform application (Windows, macOS, Linux) that helps you organize and manage references
Zotero
an open-source reference management tool; offers browser connectors which makes it easy in capturing references from webpages
