Quick guide to use BrowZine for accessing journals

Discover Scholarly Journals with BrowZine

BrowZine is a service that allows you to browse, read and follow scholarly journals via a smart phone or using a web browser.

Watch a short tutorial to find out what BrowZine is and how it can help you find and access journals.
 

With BrowZine, you can:

  • Browse and read journals: Browse thousands of library subscribed journals by subject, easily review tables of contents, and download full articles.
  • Stay Current with My Bookshelf: Create a personal bookshelf of titles to follow and receive new article notifications.
  • Access on any device: Easily access BrowZine from your iOS and Android devices and on the web to stay up to date wherever you are.
  • Save and export articles: Use the BrowZine app to save articles for offline reading or export to services such as DropBox, EndNote, Mendeley, Zotero, Papers and more.

Steps to set up BrowZine

STEP 1. Visit directly at browzine.com, or download BrowZine app onto your iPad or Android devices.

   

 

STEP 2. Once you have installed and launched the app, choose a Library:

  1. Select "Hong Kong Polytechnic University" from the pull down list.
  2. Login with your NetID and NetPassword.
  3. Then you can start browse journals by subject or search for a journal.

FAQs

1. What journals are supported?

Most journals subscribed by the Library are supported on BrowZine. For coverage of supported publishers, please check this list.

2. Will it work outside PolyU?

Yes. You should be asked to log in using your PolyU NetID & NetPassword.

3. Are mobile devices supported?

Yes. BrowZine can be run on iOS and Android. Details please refer to BrowZine System Requirements for iOS, Android & Web.

4. Can BrowZine export to EndNote?

Yes. BrowZine support exporting citations to EndNote on iOS, Android and Web. Steps can be found here.
