Reference management tools allow users to share the reference libraries with others. For example, EndNote allows users to share all the references in the library with others, whereas Mendeley gives an option to selectively share some references in the library.
You can share your Mendeley library (including references, PDFs, and annotations) with other users using the "Groups" function. Members can add, annotate and use the library at the same time.
To share your references:
Click on Create Group...
Select an appropriate group type.
Invite members via email.
Drag and drop references into the group for sharing.
Click on Documents to view references in the group.
To join a group:
Click on Preview this group in the invitation email received.
Click on Accept Invitation.
You will see the shared groups at your Mendeley desktop after Sync with your online library.
