This guide introduces key features of the PolyU Institutional Research Archive.

Access Your Profile


1. Access PIRA:​

2. Go to "Researchers" tab

3. Search by name or browse by dept

4. Select your profile

Manage Your Profile

You can edit your profile by following the steps below:

1. Click  

2. Login with your NetID & NetPassword

3. Editable items:

  • Photo
  • Author Identifiers
  • Research interests
  • Research summary
  • CV and personal links

4. Click "Submit"

Researcher Profile in PIRA

The Library will create a researcher profile page in PIRA for each PolyU academic staff as soon as the researcher has published a work affiliated with PolyU. The PIRA profile page records all your publications in PolyU and all your author IDs (e.g. ORCID, Scopus Author ID). 

An example of a researcher profile in PIRA:

  1. Profile:
    1. Author Identifiers (ORCID, Scopus Author ID, ResearcherID, Google Scholar profile, if available)
    2. Research Interests
    3. Contact Information
  2. Research Outputs:
    1. Publications in PolyU
      (can export publication list to EndNote, Excel, etc. can limit results by publication type, year, and works with full-text uploaded)
  3. Bibliometrics: 
    1. Citations, h-index in Web of Science, Scopus, for all indexed publications and for PolyU publications (in PIRA)
  4. Patents (if applicable): 
    1. Patents issued in PolyU (with full-text uploaded)
